Nursing Home

The Merrimack County Nursing Home is currently accepting applications for Registered Nurses, Licensed Nursing Assistants, Licensed Practical Nurses, and LNA Trainees.

Registered Nurses

Earn up to $45.18/hour

Our Full-Time Registered Nurses are expected to provide direct nursing care to the residents and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants. Such supervision must be in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern the Merrimack County Nursing Home, and as may be required by the Director of Nursing Services and/or Unit Coordinator to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.

Minimum Qualifications

  • EDUCATION: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

  • EXPERIENCE: Any combination of education and experience which demonstrate possession of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

  • CERTIFICATION: Current license as a Registered Nurse issued by the NH Board of Nursing.

  • ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS: A drug screen, and a background check will be required of all conditional hires.

Licensed Nursing Assistants

Earn up to $23.97/hour

Our Full- or Part-Time LNAs are expected to perform a wide variety of services to assist in the care of residents, their quarters, recreational and work activities.  Assist residents to attain and maintain the highest practicable physical, mental and psychosocial well-being as determined by resident assessments and individual plan of care.

Minimum Qualifications

  • EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent, completion of 100 hour approved program for Nursing Assistants, and passing score on competency evaluation program approved by the NH Board of Nursing.

  • EXPERIENCE: No prior experience required.

  • LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Registered with N.H. Board of Nursing.

  • ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS: A drug screen, and a background check will be required of all conditional hires.

Licensed Practical Nurses

Earn up to $37.64/hour

Our Full-Time Nurses are expected to provide direct nursing care to the residents, and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by Licensed Nursing Assistants. Minimum Qualifications

  • EDUCATION: Completion of a four-year high school course or equivalent, and graduation from a basic educational program in practical (vocational) nursing with diploma.

  • EXPERIENCE: One year of experience as a staff nurse preferred.

  • LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Current license as a Licensed Practical Nurse issued by the NH Board of Nursing.

  • ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS: A drug screen, and a background check will be required of all conditional hires.

Medication Nursing Assistants

Earn up to $26.01/hour

Our MNA's are expected to perform the standard duties of a Licensed Nursing Assistant and assist in passing medications to residents as delegated by an RN or LPN.

Minimum Qualifications

  • EDUCATION: Completion of 180 hour competency evaluation program and passing score on competency evaluation program approved by the NH Board of Nursing. Registered with NH Board of Nursing and passing score of 90% or better of board-approved medication administration education program.  Attend and receive a passing score in an 8 hour competency lab 90 days after completion of medication administration education program.

  • EXPERIENCE: 2 years of full-time LNA employment within the last 5 years.

  • LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Current registration and license as a Licensed Nursing Assistant.  Valid Certificate of Medication Administration.

  • ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS: A drug screen, and a background check will be required of all conditional hires.

LNA Trainees

Earn up to $16.50/hour

Our Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) Trainees will attend LNA classes and clinical and maintain a full-time schedule by working in nursing units providing assistance within the scope of practice. LNA Trainees earn $16.50 per hour while in the program.
No contracts and no mandatory overtime!
