Our main hires are Correctional Officers. We do hire other positions as needed to support the offender population.
A Correctional Officer is an entry level position in law enforcement. You do not need prior experience for consideration.
- A part of the interview process requires a physical agility test. We follow the Cooper Standard.
- We require a current valid driver’s license.
- We conduct a full criminal background verification.
- We conduct a reference verification with information provided by the candidate.
- We conduct a medical exam including a urinalysis.
- Applicants must be 18 or older for consideration.
We are looking for those with a strong desire and interest to begin a law enforcement career. This candidate possesses great communication skills and understands the role requires direct supervision of an offender population.
Interested candidates should review the job description thoroughly and ensure they can initially meet the demands of the role.
The process can take 4-8 weeks from the time your application is received.
We are paid bi-weekly on Thursdays.
1st day of the month following 30 days from date of hire.
We are a 24/7 operation and hire on 2nd and 3rd shift. Correctional Officers are required to work weekends and holidays.
The main facility is 144,000 sq. ft. The EMF building (community corrections) is 35,000 sq. ft.
Visible tattoos are allowed if they are not vulgar, offensive or gang related.
Piercings area limited to two earrings (studs). Other visible piercings are not acceptable.
We have the capacity for 315 offenders. Our population fluctuates daily.
We have a male and female population. Offenses range in severity level.
