The Merrimack County Department of Corrections serves the community and its criminal justice system by providing security, supervision, and assistance to persons remanded to our custody. Our Correctional Officers are focused on providing a safe and secure environment while managing the daily care, custody, and control of the inmates under correctional supervision.

EDUCATION: Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE: No experience required
CERTIFICATION: Any equivalent combination of education and experience including prior Correctional experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills and abilities with or without reasonable accommodation as required by the Americans with Disabilities Act.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: A valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one. A drug screen & background check will be required of all conditional hires.
